Certificate of Participation in Infrastructure Planning Best Practices for Small to Mid-Size Municipalities

 

This program consists of three courses:

PRO 0006 - Overview of Infrastructure Master Planning*

PRO 0007 - Transportation Planning Best Practices

PRO 0008 - Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Best Planning Practices

*Participants should begin with PRO 0006 to determine their organizations’ current level of planning practices, then complete PRO 0007 OR PRO 0008 to complete the certificate.  Students may complete both PRO 0007 and PRO 0008 if desired.

 

This program will fill a gap to build capacity amongst the public sector in infrastructure planning providing training in a flexible, accessible format that will be relevant to small to medium municipalities across the country.

 

Upon successful completion of this program, learners will be equipped to:

- measure their current abilities in municipal infrastructure planning in wastewater or transportation, or both.

- develop, enhance and demonstrate skills in municipal infrastructure planning in water/wastewater or transportation, or both.

- apply the concepts learned to develop infrastructure plans for their own jurisdictions.

Participants will gain sufficient knowledge that they will be confident in understanding when to retain an expert to help in plan development.
