Course Description
The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) is a general English language proficiency test that allows test takers to demonstrate their ability to function in English. The CELPIP Test is Canada's leading general English test for immigration and professional designation.The CELPIP General Test has 4 parts: Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking.
This course will focus on preparing test takers specifically for the Reading component of the CELPIP Test. In this course, you will:
- Improve your reading speed
- Learn to more effectively skim, scan and get meaning from context. Improved synonym-matching pair skills
- Locate specific information accurately
- Identify main ideas and paragraph components
- Identify viewpoints balancing fact and opinion
Target Audience:
- Individuals who have taken the CELPIP Test but who have had difficulty in achieving their desired score on the Reading component of the test.
- Individuals who feel their overall English abilities are strong but who feel they could benefit from some additional preparation for the Reading component of the CELPIP Test.
