About the program
By completing all of the modules in our online program, Data Matters, you will receive a Certificate of Completion in Applying Administrative Data to Research and Policy.
Data Matters is a series of four short, self-paced, and online courses. This program breaks down perceived barriers around the use of administrative data. It will help you get comfortable working with administrative data so you can better answer questions about populations, programs, and policies to help them thrive.
Data Matters makes use of state-of-the-art interactive media technology and uses audio-visual communication to widen accessibility to learners.
What will I learn?
Upon successful completion, you will:
- Know what administrative data is and how it can be used to solve problems, inform decisions, and reach conclusions
- Understand privacy legislation and ethical standards for working with population data
- Be able to design research questions for real world problems, and that can be answered using administrative data
- Be able to use administrative data in the development and evaluation of public policy.
