Learner outcomes

By the end of this diploma program, you will be able to:

  • Utilize advanced leadership skills to effectively manage teams and resolve conflict.
  • Understand and apply key principles of occupational health and safety, including legal compliance.
  • Develop effective training programs utilizing adult learning principles.
  • Make informed decisions in organizational settings based on data-driven techniques.
  • Implement and evaluate health and wellness programs to boost productivity.
  • Assess and manage risks in various work environments, including confined and elevated spaces.
  • Manage emerging workplace issues such as fatigue and mental health adaptively.

The self-paced nature of this diploma allows you to complete the program according to your timeline. This means that some people may take up to two or more years to complete the program, while others complete it in as little as six months.

Each course in this program consists of a cumulative multiple-choice exam that covers all the content of the course, as well as one assignment and one reflection paper that must be submitted through the learning platform.

You can register and pay for courses individually at $675 per course, pre-pay for multiple courses or pre-pay for the entire certificate program for a total of $6,750. The choice is yours.

Before you can register for courses, you will need to apply for entry into the diploma program. Click the red "Apply now" button to start the application process.

Accepted and returning students

Once you have been accepted into the program, if you want to pre-pay for multiple courses or the entire certificate, please contact us at (506) 453-4694 or toll-free at 1-888-259-4222.

To enrol and pay for an individual course, click the course name from the list. Access will be available within 30 minutes of completing the checkout process.

The DOHS program is open entry and asynchronous. Once you’re accepted, you can register and start any time.

Prerequisites

To be accepted into the DOHS program, you must have completed a UNB-approved OHS Certificate program or hold a current industry certification such as CRST® or CRSP®. Please contact us at customerservice@unb.ca if you have any questions.
