Course Description
An overview of essential tools for day-to-day management of an arts and culture organization.
Schedule of bi-weekly Friday live Discussion Sessions from 10-12 noon AT is as follows. Work is to be completed on each module’s content in advance to enable productive group work.
Dec. 12: Module #1 – Human Resources – essentials for changing workplaces
Jan. 9: Module #2 – Labour & Contemporary Issues
Jan. 23: Module #3 - Legal – Contracting, intellectual property and heritage repatriation
Feb. 6: Module #4 – Financial management A - Budgeting, Forecasting, Cash flow and risk management
Feb. 20: Module #5 – Financial management B - Financial statements, accounting and the CRA
Mar. 6: Module #6 – Technology essentials / Data literacy / AI

Applies Towards the Following Certificates
Application
Applicants should apply early as enrolment is limited. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and successful applicants will be notified within 4-7 business days of the application deadline (July 21).
Ideally applicants have some post-secondary training and experience in the field of arts and culture, at an organizational level. This certificate is open to all Canadian applicants.
Application deadline: July 21, 2025 (Apply early; limited enrolment).
Eligibility: Open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents with some post-secondary training and work experience in arts and culture.
Tuition: $2,600 total.
Bursary: $1,000 available for eligible New Brunswick participants.
