OHS 5063 - Effective Workplace Training (Formerly COHS 4141)
Course Description
This course examines how training, education and competency assessment needs are determined and what a competency development program looks like. The course also reviews the roles and responsibilities of human resources, operations management, safety professionals, employers and employees as far as OHS is concerned. Other topics covered in the course are based on principles of adult education.

The completion of this course qualifies IPMA-Canada members to receive ten (10) recertification points.

- Understand the requirements for training, education, and competency assessments.
- Apply adult learning principles to health and safety training and communications, and use coaching as a training method.
