MGT 2000 - Leading From Within (Formerly CCME 1000)
Course Description
Intrapersonal skills are the skills that define how effectively a person can manage themselves and take responsibility for their actions and behaviour. Before a leader can ever lead someone else, they will need to first be able to manage themselves.
This course discusses the skills and traits that successful leaders have and how they acquire them, describing how great leaders become so through their conscious efforts.
It also includes a Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) Assessment, which is a tool that measures how you behave in day-to-day life when you are at your best. This assessment raises your level of self-awareness by highlighting specific areas of strengths and weaknesses and offers suggestions to help you guide your career and become a better manager.
This course can be taken on its own or as part of the required courses for the Certificate in Management Essentials program.
